The Nautilus Barometer is part of the Nautilus Collection and is a waterproof, rugged anodized aluminum instrument. It functions extremely well in a punishing saltwater environment and features low glare, satin black case constructed of solid aluminum that is color anodized and sealed so that the finish will not peel, bubble or tarnish. The Barometer has a fluid dampened inclinometer as well as these features:
A glass crystal that sits in a double "O"-ring seat for vibration, impact and thermal expansion protection.
Anodized aluminum dial is laser engraved.
Scale ranges from 28.5" to 31.5" instead of the traditional 27.5" to 31.5" Hg. Can be read in millibars.
Includes patented "high sensitiv" all metal aneroid movement with expanded scale so that needle noticeably moves as weather conditions change.
Durable moveable markers are made of U.V. stabilized polycarbonate and located outside the crystal for marking pressure.
All fasteners are stainless steel.
To calibrate movement , twist case 1/8 turn to remove case and leave back plate on bulkhead. Also convenient for storage or anti-theft reasons.
Hydrophobic filter allows air to pass yet resists water.
Waterproof to a depth of 3 feet for 30 minutes.
